How to Measure Spiral Window Balances

To measure spiral window balances first you measure the width of the metal tube, the most common widths are 5/8" and 3/8" (please note: 5/8" and 9/16" are often used interchangeably in the industry). Then you need to measure the length of the balance. When measuring the length, measure only the metal tube, don't include the colored coupling or spiral. Measure the width of the tube.
