A constant force coil spring bushing is a type of mechanical component that helps to reduce friction and wear between the moving parts of a window. It is typically made of a durable and corrosion-resistant material, such as stainless steel or brass, and is designed to withstand the stresses and strains of repeated use over time. The coil spring bushing works by providing a constant and consistent level of force or tension, which helps to keep the window operating smoothly and efficiently. As the window is opened or closed, the coil spring compresses or expands to maintain a consistent level of tension, which reduces the amount of friction and wear on the window mechanism. The bushing is usually installed at the pivot point of the window, where the window frame and sash meet. It is typically inserted into a drilled hole in the frame or sash, and secured in place with a screw or other fastener. Once installed, the coil spring bushing provides a reliable and long-lasting solution for improving the performance and durability of windows in residential and commercial buildings.
