How to Replace a Window Sash Cam

Step 8: Remove the Window Sash

The exact removal method depends on the window design. Many non-tilt sashes are removed using balance take-out clips.

  1. Unlock the window.
  2. Open the sash enough to access the balance take-out clips.
  3. Engage the clips according to the window design.
